Pure Berk, a better pork! Willamette Berkshire is made up of a group of farmers located in the Willamette Valley of western Oregon. Wanting to simply provide a better pork, we raise the Berkshire hog, a heritage breed. The Berkshire has naturally been the national winner and has long been rated as the prime choice of pork for its flavor, color and tenderness. In Japan the Berkshire, or Kurobuta (Black Pig), is considered the "Kobe Beef" of pork. Willamette Berkshire now offers 100% purebred Berkshire pork. Willamette Berkshire hogs are locally grown insuring quality and freshness. Our hogs are never given any growth hormones or feed additives. |
